Judgment Is Coming. Jesus death and resurrection gives us peace.

“ All of us will have to give an account of ourselves to God.” [Romans 14:12]
There is only one thing that is absolutely sure to happen to every person. Everyone will have to face God someday. Not even “death and taxes” are certain for every one, but meeting God for an accounting of one’s life is. So, as the prophet Amos warned, over 2,500 years ago, “Prepare to meet your God.” [Amos 4:12] “People die once, and after that they are judged.” [Hebrews 9:27]
To the Christian there is no need to fear Hell because those who are believers in Christ Jesus will not be condemned. [Romans 8:1] Jesus oiur Lord has paid for our sins and purchased our redemption with His blood. Jesus, our Lord, was handed over to death because of our failures and was brought back to life so that we could receive God’s approval. [Romans 4:25]
Yet we as Christians still “All of us must appear in front of Christ’s judgment seat.” [2 Corinthians 5:10], where, “the day will make what each one does clearly visible because fire will reveal it. That fire will determine what kind of work each person has done. If what a person has built survives he will receive a reward. If his work is burned up he will suffer the loss. However he will be saved though it will be like going through a fire. [1 Corinthians 3:13-15]
Those who die in unbelief however, not having trusted Christ as their Savior, will face a different meeting with God. The apostle John describes the awesome scene as he saw it in his revelation. “ I saw the dead, both important and unimportant people, standing in front of the throne. Books were opened, including the Book of Life. The dead were judged on the basis of what they had done, as recorded in the books.” [Revelation 20:12] Your salvation not the result of anything you’ve done, so no one can brag about it. No one can be saved by his works [Ephesians 2:9] Therefore, those whose names were not found in the Book of Life were thrown into the fiery lake.” [Revelation 20:15]
